This imposing townhouse, is located in the landmarks designated Sutton Place area in New York. The project consisted of a major rehabilitation of an existing townhouse. Only a portion of the exterior walls were salvaged. The house sits partly on the FDR Drive, so structural considerations were taken into account for all aspects of design and detailing.

A new gracious, circular stair connected the four levels. The stair was exquisitely detailed with glass balustrades and had sweeping views through floor to ceiling windows, facing the East River. A private yard above the FDR Drive was landscaped and accessed from the cellar.
